Sasha and Tanya are new immigrants to Israel, and have been in the country for less than a year with their two small children. We met them during one of our food projects where we distributed much-needed food and home supplies to new immigrants in need. They were having a challenging time adapting to life in Israel and finances were really tight. They decided to find out more about Beit Hallel, as they saw the love and joy with which we served the needy during our projects. They came to visit us at Beit Hallel and after hearing about our available courses, decided to enrol for our Couples Course.
They wanted to know more about Jesus and his message of salvation, so they decided to attend our big Jerusalem outreach shortly thereafter. The Word of God that was preached by Pastor Israel Pochtar at the outreach penetrated their hearts and they experienced the love of their Heavenly Father in a profound way. Sasha and Tanya met with our follow-up team shortly afterwards. They were so open and hungry for the Word of God and they gladly received the Word of God that we shared.
They asked us to pray with them and to lead them in prayer. They joined us in prayer and committed their lives to Jesus. They also expressed their desire to become more involved at Beit Hallel and to grow in their own walk with God. They continued on their journey of discovery by joining one of our home groups, asking many questions and learning more about Jesus. Now Sasha and Tanya volunteer their time at our humanitarian projects, to reach out a helping hand to those in need. Praise God!
